The project proposal intends to relate to the main existing architectural emergencies in the immediate vicinity of the area under competition: the Monumental complex of St. Francis including the former convent and the church that houses the Civic Museum, the former Leutrum barracks, the Vinaj canopy and the Vincenzo Virginio Square space considering also the strategic position for those entering the city from Lungostura Kennedy. 

The intention is to emphasize the architectural nature characterized by the repetition of spans punctuated by pilasters of the Ex Frigoriferi through the addition, in height, of a volume as neutral and diaphanous as possible that follows the perimeter with a single roof ten meters high, devoid of volumetric eminences.

The metal casing is provided with expanded aluminum mesh panels and designed to be backlit at night with the idea of being a reference point also in relation to access to the city: an illuminated threshold, a lantern, a center of cultural and artistic production.
